Goal

What I Did
Picked up implementation work mid-stream and performed initial system checks using Pearson VUE’s published testing and readiness guidelines. Verified workstation configurations, network placement, and connectivity assumptions.
Challenges
During initial testing, workstations were unable to communicate with one another despite being on the same switch and subnet, preventing the environment from passing required pre-checks.
Outcome
Identified the issue as a systemic configuration problem rather than hardware or cabling, narrowing the scope of troubleshooting for the next phase.

Restore required communication between testing workstations and the proctor system.
What I Did
Performed focused troubleshooting on system and network configuration, isolating the issue to restrictive Windows firewall settings that were blocking required local communication. Corrected these configurations and re-validated connectivity between all machines. Configured and tested the proctor workstation responsible for administering and monitoring exams, and successfully initiated test distributions to candidate machines.
